SINU’s Second Chance Education Awareness in Taro

Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has announced another extension of the registration and enrollment process for students enrolling at the University.

THE Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has held an awareness talk on the Second Chance Education in Taro, Choiseul Province starting last week.

According to SINU’s recent weekly radio program, the awareness has been carried out on the 12, March 2018.

SINU’s Distance & Flexible Learning (DFL) team who are responsible for that area of study will carry out the Second Chance Education awareness program.

It was announced that the awareness would also be carried out in other provinces like Isabel, Malaita and Temotu and so they are asked to listen out for further updates as to when their turn will come.

Stanley Bako said the awareness is part of encouraging students who have no opportunity to further their education to join the DFL Second Chance Education program before the actual closes the courses for Primary Certificate in Teaching Courses.

He said the current SINU students undertaking the Primary Certificate in Teaching Courses would be the last batch of student undertaking the program since SINU will soon forgone its Primary Certificate in Teaching Course programs and will only concentrate on DFL programs.
