Police Arrests Security Officer In relation to Break-in

Police arrested a security officer in relation to the break-in at Bulk shop at Ranadi.

THE Royal Solomon Islands Police Force has continuing with its investigation following a break in and burglary incident at the Ranadi Bulk shop at East Honiara on the early hours of the 13th of February 2018.

Police Commissioner Matthew Varley when confirming incident in recent weekly media conference said it is alleged that more than $2,000 worth of cash and valuable property was stolen during the burglary incident.

Mr Varley said following the incident, Police have arrested one security guard who was believe to be part of the burglary and also looking for another suspect.

“Police have arrested a Security guard who allegedly help to facilitate the burglary incident and we have also identified a second suspect that was believed to be part of the burglary and break. Now we are currently hunting for him,” he said.

He said as part of the investigation, Police is currently working with the members of the community and leaders of the area especially around East Honiara to follow up on that incident.

He call on the general public if anyone has any information surrounding the incident, they should report to Henderson police or through the Police Communication centre for police to do the follow ups.
