PAC to Commence Hearing into 2nd Supplementary Tomorrow

THE National Parliament has resume briefly today Wednesday 12th of August 2020 and then adjourn again to Tuesday 18 August which is next week, to allow the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to conduct its inquiry into the 2nd supplementary, the 2019 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2020.

The National Parliament said in a statement that so far PAC had successfully completed its hearings into the 2020 Supplementary Bill 2020 after 5 days of inquiry.

“PAC will commence hearing into the other supplementary which is the 2019 Supplementary Bill 2020 on Thursday morning the 13th of August 2020 thus the special adjournment.

“Report writing process for both Supplementary Appropriation Bills is expected to also start in the coming days and through the weekend and should also be completed before Parliament resume next week,” the Parliament statement said.

The two Supplementary Appropriations Bills have gone through their first and second reading today in the national parliament before Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare moved a motion of special adjournment – That at its adjournment on Wednesday 12th August 2020, Parliament shall adjourn to Tuesday 18th August 2020.
