HCC has conducted a “Business License Spot Check Operation” on Businesses and public transport vehicles within the City Boundary.
The Spot check operation is to ensure Businesses and public transport vehicles operate with valid Business Licenses during the third quarter of this year.
It has been discovered that most Businesses and public transport vehicles have failed to pay their business licenses.
The vehicle inspection was conducted by the HCC Law Enforcement Division with the assistance of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF).
A combination of HCC officers from various divisions within HCC have been divided into two groups to conduct the operation on Businesses.
A team was tasked to cover Businesses from the western end of the city towards China Town, while the other team started from the eastern end towards Kukum.
The HCC Management acknowledges every Businesses who have complied and looking forward to work closely with them for a better and improved Business environment in the City.
HCC has also urged those who are yet to pay their licenses to do so to avoid further consequences.
The week long successful operation started on Monday 27th and concluded today Friday 31July.
