STRONG Wind and massive coastal waves which are being associated with Tropical Cyclone Harold on Friday Morning have hit hard at Fishing Village Early Childhood (ECE) Pre-School Centre at Fishing Village, East Honiara damaging the Pre-School’s assets and Properties.

The Fishing Village Pre-school centre, an extension of Mbua Valley ECE which registers 40 students was stunned yesterday as the disaster left the centre with broken windows, damage to ablution block, tank and damage to the schools only five (5) Computers.

Vaerinah Lawrence the Assistant Supervisor at the Pre-school expresses her grievance at the losses stating that this was an unfortunate situation, a big blow to the small establishment.

“We are very sad and don’t know yet what to do because we still don’t have any funds to repair or replace what is lost.

“I appeal to responsible authorities to help us in this hour of need and hear our cries,” Mrs. Lawrence expressed.

A visit by Isles Media at the location witnessed that the school’s extension which houses the 5 (five) Computers have completely been wrecked to the ground by the massive coastal waves on Friday night.

In the meantime, Mrs. Lawrence said despite everything, volunteers from the community plus teachers have come together to clean up all the mess done by Tropical Cyclone Harold.
