ESP Update: Payments Suspended, Will Resume Mid-January 2021

Economic Stimulus Package (ESP).


ALL project payments for successful applicants of the Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) will be suspended at the end of this week and will resume in mid-January 2021.

This was according to Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare in his nationwide address on Monday.

He however announced that the new Economic Stimulus Package Online portal will be finally launched this week.

A comprehensive software underpinning this online portal has been completed. Members of the Public will be able to view the ESP recipient list and other information posted on the online database after the launch later in the week,” Prime Minister Sogavare announced.

He further said that it was pleasing to note that many successful recipients from the Economic Stimulus Package have signed their ESP project offer last week however, all project payments for all ESP recipients will be suspended for at least 4 to 5 weeks before resuming in mid-January, 2021.

“I want to emphasise that the Government through is fully committed to the accountable implementation of the Economic Stimulus Package to ensure it meets the interest and wellbeing of our people while also contributing to national stability and economic empowerment.” Prime Minister Sogavare expressed.
