THE office of the Auditor General of Solomon Islands has today issued a clean audit report to Central Province on their 2018/19 Financial Statement – an unqualified audit opinion.
This is confirmed by the Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening (MPGIS) who just this evening, 4th April 2020, informed the general public about the report, via a text message under Our Telekom’s public awareness text messaging system.
“The Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening hereby informs the public that the office of the Auditor General of Solomon Islands has today issued a clean audit report to Central Province on their 2018/19 Financial Statement – an unqualified audit opinion.”
The awareness text informed. Central province now joins Isabel Province as the second Province to achieve such a historic milestone in financial accountability.
In congratulating the milestone for Central Province, the Minister of MPGIS, Hon. Rollen Seleso, the Permanent Secretary and staff of MPGIS and Provincial Government Strengthening Programme (PGSP) have conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to the hardworking officers and political leaders of Central Province.
The PGSP is a program of the Government of the Solomon Islands that aims to develop the capacity of provincial governments in the Solomon Islands to deliver services and promote local development.
